About us

Illumiscreen is a service delivered by Awanui Group – New Zealand’s leading provider of laboratory and pathology services. Our network includes 25 laboratories and 150 collection centres nationwide meaning you can access Illumiscreen anywhere in the country.

The technology and our specialist molecular team behind Illumiscreen are based in our Auckland Laboratory, so all samples remain in Aotearoa New Zealand, instead of being sent overseas like other NIPS / NIPT providers.

Our laboratory is accredited to NZS/ISO 15189 “Medical Laboratories – Particular requirements for quality and competence”. The accreditation is done annually by an external agency know as International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ).
